Come on, it's not that impossible, need some more competition for the Rappys, DS's, and 450's

Step up and take some of the spotlight away from the norm.

Dune rider 650, I agree, the Honda 450's just are not up to it as far as I have seen so far, the Yami's are screwing them bad at the drags, no doubt it can be built to run as well, but to no avail so far at the drags.

The XR650L Honda motor that I run has the potential to run with most out there minus NOS and Turbo's

Can't figure why people are not giving it a chance against the competition, a few mods, bolt it in and go !

Since the XR came out years ago, we have expected this bike every year.....but it has never happened. May be that Honda just isn't headed that direction??? They seem to love to put their R&D effort into one more huge, heavy, pricey utility after another!

We might be able to find an analogy from Detroit in the mid 70's. Gas prices went up dramatically from around $1.00, to something like $1.35 per gallon. The public wanted more fuel efficient cars, but Detroit insisted on turning out cars that were still the size of a tuna boat. (This is when the foreign car market first took off). The reason was simple, Detroit could make way more money on a hughe machine than they could on a little one. It took them a few years to catch up with the changing consumer market. My conclusion, Honda just makes more $$$ selling an overpriced huge overly complex ute than they can make on a smaller, less complex sport bike. True, utes have outsold sports for years, but the sport market has been taking off of late.

Warrior-Why in the world did you put the XR engine in a Warrior frame??? Just had one laying around the garage? IMO, the Warrior frame is one of the worst handling frames there ever was! Put a huge engine in it, and it should be absolutely unrideable. Why not one of the aftermarket 400EX frames? Lots of people have done that conversion.

slick warrior, must be a blast in the sand. Love XRs, I've had a dozen XRs and XLs (mostly 600s, few 350s) combined over the years. even if it doesn't handle with the chassis mods you have it must rip pretty good

reconranger, why would you say overlycomplicated? Most complain they're too simple. I also paid less for my Rubicon than an Arctic 500, Vinson, Kodiak, or even an Outlander could be had for at the time. You pay retail?
