2005 Foreman 500?
#1
Hi everyone. How is the new foreman doing? I had a 2002 450 foreman and loved every second of it. Worked great and never had a problem with it. When I traded it in it had over 8200km on it and over 600 hrs. I had put new Bear Klaws on it before I got rid of it. It had the foot shifter as well. I truly loved that bike but traded it in for a new Rincon. It too has been great but I was considering going back to the foreman! I would miss the automatic for sure. If anyone has an opinion or some factual experience, it would be greatly appreciated.....thanks.

I have had mine since early December and I love every minute on it! I have had zero problems, other than acceleration, but I am running 26" Mudlites instead of stock. I have ran through deep mud, steep hills, and crossed big creeks. It will float if no one is on it. It is in the shop today getting the performance package from Highlifter put on. Should increase HP by about 10%.

I just bought one, and have been having a blast. Was pretty cold blooded, to the point of being hard to start at first, but that seems to be improving as it gets a few hours on it.
It seems somehow sportier handling than the 450 Foreman, with better suspension, and the footshift one (like mine) now has floorboards that do a pretty good job of keeping the major glop off your boots.
My riding buddy has a Rincon, which I have ridden before. In the rough, rocky, rooty woods trails where we ride, he can go faster while seated, where mine tends to buck around more...
I realize I made a trade off, giving up IRS for a transmission I like better (the 5 speed), but at times I wonder if I made the right choice...
Oh well, once the Foreman is paid for, maybe there will be a Rincon 800 V-twin with low range, and the Foreman can become my "buddy quad" to lend people.
Still, I think if you were looking for a quad that will most likely give you the most miles with only routine oil changes and adjustments, it would be hard to go wrong with the new Foreman.
