Ever since the first time i re-packed the bearing housing on my 300ex, i have had to constantly check my axle nut for looseness, and i CAN'T get it to stay. I have all kinds of tools, including huge wrenches with alot of leverage... but nothing i do makes it stay. I tried lock-tight as well. I want to get a RAD-LOC nut for it... has anyone seen this, or used this product, or does anyone have a trick to keeping the nut tight?

An aftermarket axle nut is almost a necessity for the Honda X, R, & EX models. I bought the one that Magic Racing sells, but there are several available. On the stock nut you have to get lots of torque on the lock nut while holding the axle nut. Lots of torque on the axle nut does no good, in fact it may cause some damage. Then check it often!

My axle nut comes loose on my Warrior also.A trick that alot of people use is to tighten it then wrap it with black electrical tape and that will keep it from coming loose, just keep checking it and replace it when needed. As far as anti fade nuts I dont know,Im sure they will work.
Also you sould not tighten your axle nut too tight,it will put too much of a load on your bearings.Peace

I have the cheap dura blue posi lock nut and have not had any problems since I got it. That electrical tape trick works good too.

I checked mine today on my 2000, it was loose..

I tightened it down, and put some electric tape on it.

Is this a problem on the 300ex?

My 94 had tape on it when i got it..but i took it off, and its never came loose

I have a durablue alxe and nut. I comes loose after each moto. The other day I was at K&K and asked about the price of a new one. Too much money at the time, but found a possible reason.

I guess if your sproket or brake holder that presses into the bearings are worn, this will cause your nut to become loose. I do not fully understand the reasons for this, but Shawn has not steered me wrong yet on info. I know that mine are worn and will be replaced this winter.

I use duct tape also. Works fine and doesn't cost me anything.
