400 EX Headbolt torque

Default 400 EX Headbolt torque

so 7 foot pounds will strip out them out? I am curious why they don't give the torque specs in my honda service manual?

88 inch pounds is just a little more than 7 foot pounds, so I would say you're both right, just using different units of measurement.

Fl45h, thanks for the offer, but I'm trying to do this without the expense of buying a manual. If that doesn't work out, I'll let you know.

Default 400 EX Headbolt torque

If you need anymore help with torques or anything else. i have the actually service manual. i can scan pages or reply with the answer.. Just tryin to get a fellow honda ridin back on the trails. also make sure when you put it back together, the actual head gaset, but silicone on it. Because my 440 kit did not come with a new on so i used to old on. and it leaked. If you don't have a new one, make sure you put some high temp silicone.
