when i start it, it drives just fine, and everything, either i never noticed the pinging sound, it plays in rythm with the engine sound, i have not took it in to be serviced for its free break in service. but i was wondering what this noise is, its not that loud, i can hear it pretty well tho. anythoughts, is this normal?

 

hey dude lol. My 2001 400ex is doing the same thing. I would try changing the gas and making sure its premimum not regular.

 

wow i would of never guessed gas would do crap like that, i thought it was the pistion digging away at the cylinder. but thanks for the tip.
