Well i am looking to get a honda 400ex for around $3000 or less, is this acheivable? Also anything i should look for when buying the quad? Any common problems with the 400ex? Any other input would be great! Thanks!!!!!!!

400exs are very reliable if you maintain them. They get great fuel economy even with rough riding. They are alot less than the Kawasaki KFX400 and Suzuki LTZ400. I got my 2002 400ex off ebaymotors for $3600 out the door. It came with brand new sand shark2 paddles on brand new ITP rims, 20 hours on the engine, never abused, very clean, maintained, 2007 green sticker and they guy was in my area. i picked my 2002 400ex up with full body bash...nerfs.. mudshark tires *all brand new* with about 40 hrs. on the engine for 2500.00 --took me about 2 and a half months to find a good deal like that though.

 

i got my 2001 400ex for 3500... it had some upgrades on it but it was in pretty good condition.

 

Mass...no wonder you got it for that cheap. California is VERY exspencive$$$$ 3600 is not bad at all here

 

i bought my 02 for $2900 great condition, low hours

 

i got mine brand new out the crate for 4600
