hey i was wondering how to remove the baffle and spark arrestor on my 400ex........ it's like welded there. i want to do this instead of paying 70$ canadian. i know i'll have to rejet after so when i do it i'll revome my airbox lid and get a knn......... than if any body has any thing they can tell me to help thx!

 

Take a hack saw and cut straight through behinde where the screen is banded and welded to the baffle. It will leav a 2 inch opening on most pipes. Smooth it up with a file and put a screen on it then put the spacer back in and tighten the bolts.

Should look like this. It takes me about 30 minutes with a hack saw and my grinder to remove the baffle. I always put a spark screen back in though.
