Is the recall for both the 2X4 and 4X4 Ranchers. I have a '01 2X4 Rancher and would be interested to know.

I also have an 2x4 Rancher ES and the recall applies to mine. Has anyone ever had a problem with the a-arm?

Phalynx had his A-arm fold up ahwile back. Honda gave him a new quad. Other than that, I have never heard or experianced another problem with the Rancher.

If I ask my dealer about the recall and they deny it, what steps should I take in getting the problem fixed ?

Other companies care and do fix there quads. Get real. You actually are going to say that honda is the only company that would issue a recall and fix it? You know i have read on the Honda Forum, when you guys rag on other manufacturers when they have issued a recall, i guess it is ok for Honda to have such a serious recall they are telling people to not ride them. You guys are one of the main reasons i would not buy a Honda the elitist attitude is messed up.

xepathfinder: your one of the main reasons everyone hates you.

You constantly come into the honda forum and talk trash on everyone. You think you know what your talking about. You call others biased against a brand of machines. talk about the pot callling the kettle black.

well guess what tough guy, I am totally against Polaris. I'd vote for al gore if he promised to destroy all polaris quads and manufacturing plants, but keep all others.

I rode a whole bunch of polaris's before, and i've never seen more problems, crappy set-ups, and horrible power output than any other quad.

All Kawasaki Parrie models are recalled due to the belt braking and jamming, locking the rear wheels up and causing wrecks. It took them years to admit there fault

XEpathfinder.................your pathfinder is almost 6 years old.........why don't you trade that wreck in on something with an engine? some goes for your pooplaris

they make a good snowmobile........but their quads suck........automatic trannys are for kids & sissys

In defense of xepathfinder--I have seen him post on many occaisions and he has been fair in his replies. He gives his opinion and says it is one point of view and to consider the other choices, also. There is some truth in what he said.

Some people get very defensive when a recall comes out. My Rubicon had one and so what? There is supposed to be on for the 500 HO, too. No big deal. If there is a problem, find out if your bike has it and get it fixed and move on. If someone wants to make a big deal of it, they can only do so if you let them.

xepathwhatever just looks for a reason to run his yap in the Honda forum. Guess there isn't much going on in the Polaris forum!(I wouldn't know because I have absolutely no reason for going there)
