the angle sensor is on the front of the engine, down by the shift motor. It's a little black sensor with 3 wires going to it, and there is a metal protector cover over it. Price for the sensor is around $50, piece of cake to install.

ok thanks for that info... seems after i rode arojnd myh drive way for like a second literally the es stuff works now?
weird...

i had to use the manual shifter to get it into first.. then i shifted down back to neutral and turned it off
turn it on and no more flashes?

i dont wqant this to happen when im riding though.
could this possibly happen becuase of loose connections. as there are many wires with connectors i see

Please consider purchasing one(angle sensor). Now is a good time. If the shifter keeps repeating this pattern , trust me, it's going out (angle sensor) don't ***** foot around and not get one soon,it might quit on you in the deep woods. It could happen.!!...and oh yea that cheap shifter they stock on the Rancher is the pits,do your self a favor and buy you a better shift handle for emergencys..........Take care!!!!!

The Same thing happened to me on my Rancher. It wouldn't shift out of first gear and I had no reverse. I could peel left handed brodie shut the key off turn it back on and ride all day. That went one for months until I was about 20 miles back in the chit and then it stopped working completely, at least I had 1st Gear but that was a long long long ride back to the truck. Get it fixed as soon as possible. My Angle sensor was actually good I had a short between the angle sensor and the ECU.

how do you check the Ecu, mine has the 5 then the 3 blinking neutral light. I relly need to get this thing running again. Is it normal for nothing to work when you get these codes? Start button does not engage starter and shift button does not shift and display does not light up. any and all help will be greately appreciated.
Thanks,
Darby

Pottercounty there are 2 things that will stop the TRX350TE from going into reverse either the reverse lock-out cable is out of adjustment or the reverse wire is disconnected from the reverse switch (at the bottom rear of the engine) .. And my guess is that the wire/rubber boot is off the switch ..

Here is a picture of it ..
