hey, i have kinda always wanted a 250r. ive heard alot about them and how they were dominating back in the day but that it. are they dependable. how much to people ussaly sell them in good condition for? o yea and one other question. when looking for parts in stuff in dirt wheels i somethimes see 250x, i dont now what that is, is it like my 250ex

The 250x was a high performance 4-stroke of the day. There prety quick and will good care can last a long time. Also can beat a warrior with a few performance mods. The 250r alos lasted a long time if cared for. Both great quads that have the means of lasting for ever.

I have an 87 250x and they developed in the late 80's and ended in the early 90's...they are great bikes and virtually bulletproof...a 250x is nothing like your quad...it has a clutch and is chain driven...as for the 250r you cannot go wrong...they are great bikes and are also unstoppable...but with a decently high price tag for their old age...you might be able to find a "r" that is in decent shape for 2,500 if you wait for a good deal....well good luck on your pursuit of a new quad....
