I have purchased a used 99 450ES and so far I have had to pull start the engine about 7 times, am I able to take it in to any Honda shop and get this fixed for free? (Remember that I am the second owner on a 1yr old machine)

Thanks

That recall was for mostly '98's, and a few '99's. Depending on how good your dealer is, he may still fix it free. If not, I would contact Honda.

Since some of the 450ES models sat in inventory for a while, the chances are that the original owner was delivered a vehicle with less than a fully charged new battery.

Good luck, most dealer's wouldn't replace the battery for even the first owner.
