Insurance, who should I use?

I'm currently looking into State Farm and here is the breakdown. This is who insures my truck and I heard they had a good rate so I check it out.
$6,000-7,000 value with $250 deductible
Comprehensive (i.e. getting stolen, wrecking or falling onto the freeway and getting smacked by an 18-wheeler and rolling down a 3,000ft. mountain): $[red]127.40[/red]
Liability (25/50/25 so if you wreck into a layer you won't get screwed): $[red]14[/red]
Medical (Max pay-out of $5,000 covers 2 aspirin and a cast): $[red]24[/red]
Total (Per year cost): $[red]165.40[/red]
That's the minimum liability and you can go higher or none at all. But you have to have the liability in order to get the medical payments which is nice if your medical insurance won't kick in for another 6 months like mine. $5,000 isn't a lot but it's better than nothing. If you declare a higher value ($7,000-8,000 with all your mods) comprehensive goes up to $170.20 and it also goes up a little if you go for the $100 dollar deductible. By the way this is for my 400EX but it does not matter what kind of quad or bike or even rail. They classify all off-road vehicles the same and do it by price.

Minehunter what is your deductible? $103 sounds good if it’s a $250 deductible. Have you had any experience with them? How easy is it to put in a claim? Also you have to remember you live in ID and Stallion19 and I are in CA. Maybe even different counties makes a difference because that quote of over $240 is really high. If you call Holly she might be able to get you in touch with your local agent and get that price down. I think I will give ATV Line a call and see what they quote me.

I called ATV Line and whatever she was smoking I want some cause it must have been some good stuff. When she said the price I almost fell out of my chair. For full coverage with 250 deductible is $1,577 per year. I asked her 3 times in a row to repeat the number before telling her were she could stick it because I don’t pay that much for full coverage on my new ’00 Tacoma. Maybe it’s because of where I live but I was so shocked I forgot to ask.
Hey Stallion give them a call and post what they tell you for your location. The info I gave them was: full coverage on a 400EX with $250 deductible and the price new before tax & license (MSRP) $5,700.

WOW!!!!!! That is up there. Well I talked with a company called Jefferson and they gave me an idea that I never thought of. They offerd me medical coverage and full comp and collision for 400 bones a year with a 250 primium. I just got my health benefits from my work so I am not so sure that this is nesisary but my works coverage(even though it is supposedly the best) is pretty high if I end up in a hospital. SO I am considering that. What do you think?
