300ex sprocket upgrade
#1
I am thinking of adding a tooth to the front or removing a tooth or so on the rear. I am looking for more top end with not too much added stress to the clutch. Anyone out there gone one of these routes and have a little feedback. Thanks.

I went up to a 14 tooth front sprocket in the front, and down to a 36 tooth in the rear. This is with 20" tires. I wouldn't recommend this though unless you plan to modify your motor, otherwise the gearing is too tall and you end up riding it like a 2 stroke(fanning the clutch all the time).
