Ive bgeen looking around for a while now, deciding between a raptor 350, z400 and such. I decided i want a 400ex. Mod wise, I may just get a hmf slip on and K & N air filter with lid off. Is the full exhaust woth the money?

Just my 2 cents - but I'd say the full exhaust is not worth it unless you'll think you'll be doing a lot more internal work on the engine later. I'd go with just a slip on. I'm sure someone will argue that.

Hey, where's that ATV park at you have on your pic's page? I'm in SW Ohio.

Hmm, i could probly get a newer one for 5400, or maybe even less. What are some of the upgrades from the older model? They still making 400ex's?

One would be an absolute fool to buy a 400EX for the same MSRP as the Z!

The Z is a little better than the EX in every category, and the motor is way better (and proving to be every bit as reliable as the venerable old EX). Only place I prefer the EX is if I am doing semi-technical trail rides where it is necessary to ride near idle.

Call me noob but all i want to know is this....The newer 400ex is just out of my price range. Is Honda Still going to produce the older 400ex through 2005 and 2006?
