My Recon has developed an annoying creak/squeak when I turn the handle bars. Seems that there is somthing that needs some lube of some kind. It seems to be coming from the bracket that holds the upper steering column to the frame. I ordered the service manual today but the noise is driving me crazy and I gotta do somthing. I don't want to use the wrong thing though and cause more damage then repair.

My bayou 220 did the same thing. Grease every single stearing joint you can. and also grease the grease zerks on it. After I did that the sqeaking stopped.

where the front steering pivots in the frame is a seal and bearing. you have to pull these out and get the mud out of them and regreese them. when u get your manual it will show u how to do this it is not real hard to do. but that squeek can drive u nuts i know have been there. hope this helps.

Hey I had the same problem with my 450 Foreman. All I did to cure mine was buy a can of WD 40. Spray everything that moves on the frontend and spray down underneath the handlebars where it goes down inside the fourwheeler. This cured mine.

I have this same problem with my 400EX. It creeks real loud and the bars are unreasonably hard to turn. I have only had it for a 1-2months
