Ok peps, post all of your goofs/laughs/funnies with ATV riding.

Guess I will start with mine.

Once at Rocky Ridge Decatur, TX me and my friend were riding around and he was watching me do some small jumps, well here goes. Some of you peps that have been to RR may know of this spot. There is a section behind the dam, a small jump that runs about 100 yards and goes back and forth so you can hit it a couple of times, well behind that there is a dried up creek or so. We were in that creek bed running around.

We came up to a section that had a small climb/jump about maybe 15-20' tall it has 2 on the left side then another on the right side, one is sloped and easy the one next to it is sloped untill the last 4 feet of it and that part is verticle.

Well we hit the first one, Eric goes up it on his wolverine and is in the wrong gear and comes back down, I give him a little laugh, he then runs up it no problem. Now it is my turn, I know that I am going to get some air, im lighter and faster, so BAM I take off up it in first gear almost pegged and woooosh I go flying in the air almost verticle, I come down with a decent landing with my heart racing! Eric said "Oh my, you got pretty dam* high", hehe.

We then went to the one on the right, and eric went up it with no problem (well duh, he has 4 wheel drive with 300+ pounds). So I get rdy to make my run, im a little nervous about this one.

I pop it into gear, start up it, lean as far forward as I could, wooosh up into the air I go, even more hight this time, *ut oh, the front end isnt coming down, let off gas and try brakes, im leaning as far forward as I can!! Ok BAIL!! I bail off it hanging onto the handle bars and come down with it. The stinking thing is standing straight up and im holding onto it (btw, we are on the ground now) I lean forward and plop down with it and get back on the seat.

Eric is LHFAO, my heart is beating about 400 times a second, wooo that was scary but fun! hehe. I inspect my quad and notice that the freagin grab bar is bent and nothing else is wrong, well thats to bad but a couple of dirtbikers saw the whole event as well and they got a chuckle out of it.

Now your turn

Its about all I do is embarris myself in front of long time riding buddies. I took my daughters Recon and tried to climb a 12 foot high creek bank and that thing is so light on the front end that it stood straight up on its rear wheels as I topped the bank, I thought it was going to roll back on me so I let go of the bars and rolled off backwards down the creek bank doing EOE's all the way down so I would not have the quad fall on me. I looked back up the bank and the quad is sitting there on its rear wheels and balanced on the rear rack straight up it the air. No more climbing for me unless I'm on my Warrior! No one laughed at me because they were glad I didn't break my fool neck!

I rolled my rancher the other day going about .001 mph. I went down into a creek bed that had some tall weeds. In the weeds was an ant hill or something. I didn't see it and it tipped me over and the thing just rolled as I bailed out of it's way. There was a guy with celebrity status with us. I won't mention any names but he rides a SP500 and has often been spotted in the Honda forum. So it was fairly pathetic to see.

My wife and I were at my neigbors, watching his annual snowmobile grass drag event. We rode our ATVs over. Me on my 350X, she on her Blaster. Getting ready to leave; We were parked side by side, facing the same direction. I take off, with my usual clutch pop, wheel spin, show off. For some reason, Toni popped her clutch at the same time, I didn't realize it and I did a s***hook to reverse direction right in front of her. Her front wheel grabs my spinning rear tire, the bars whip, and she flips it... In front of about 200 snowmobilers/drunken revelers...
She was kind of pissed. Luckily,(?) there were several guys to help her get things straight by the time I got back there! (when I noticed what happened, I was upshifting for an escape, but decided I better go back.)

My most embarassing moment would have to be at Sand Lake. I went into this hillclimb on an 81 ATC 250R with an 83 front end on it and it had pro wedge II's. Well it really isnt good for bottom end I blame my uncle trying to drag an elk with it for that one. Any way I went in and kept burrying the rear tires because I coudn't shift into second (because of the bottom end). I was probably there about an hour with my dad cousin and uncle watching me try to make it out. Finally some guy's on a DS 650, and a Banshee helped me, my dad, uncle and cousin push it out of the hole, that really sucked. That was a very weird weekend but the most fun I have ever had down there!

When my friend and I took a trip to the Oregon Dunes near Flourence (my first trip to some real sand dunes), we found a big hill climb where a few other people were racing up it. Since this was my first big sand hillclimb, I was kinda scared. I hit the bottom revved out in 3rd gear, and it flew all the way up the hill no problem. Thinking I was pretty cool for making it so easily on my first try, I decided to pitch 'er sideways and throw a little roost before heading back down the dune (a simple maneuver that my 4 yr old brother could probably do). Well, for some reason, instead of sliding, the paddles hooked, and it tipped over sideways and threw me off (this was on top of the dune, where everyone within a mile could see me). Everyone had a pretty good laugh at that, and I even twisted my knee in the 1mph rollover. Go figure.

I was there (and no I am not the person TPnTX is talking about). TPnTX is now the "ant hill roller". That was a good laugh. Still cant figure out how he rolled it.

I have told the short version of this about a week ago, but since you asked for everyone's worst moments, I'll tell the whole thing.
This past Easter weekend I was riding in West Virginia with some friends of mine from Ohio. We had been riding all weekend in the rain. On the last day we were heading back to the house when we decided to take a logging path we had not been on. We came to an old pipe line that crossed the path and went straight up on both sides. To our surprise there was a ATV trail going up this hill. Here's when my decision making skills took a dive. We decided to see where the trail went. Todd went first and stopped about half way on another logging path that intersected the trail. I came up and stopped with him. It was really foggy and from the bottom, where we had started, you could not see a tree that had fallen across the trail up ahead. Well now we could see it. Todd was on his '97 Honda 300 2x4. He wasn't sure he could make it any futher. (that's what you call thinking straight.) However, I was not. I was on my '90 Honda 300 4x4. I told him I thought I could get around the tree. ( that's what you call not thinking straight.) So I started up.
