Default elka shocks

I broke a front shock at the badlands Wed. and i am thinking about just getting aftermarket fronts and maybe a rear later. i dont need some $800 MX 40 way adjustible shock. but i was wondering if i would notice a considerable diff with triple rate elka or maybe works rec. front shocks. and also would it have a funny ride with a stock rear while i build up money to purchase a new one??

Personally I can't see spending twice the money for Elka's and the other big $$ shocks. I have bought 3 sets of works shocks for 3 different quads. They work fine for me. Am I a Pro? No not at all, but I am a big guy that rides as hard as i can wherever I'm headed. I have triple steelers on my 400ex and they are perfect.

I used to have Works triple rates on my Ex and they were def. an upgrade from stock, but I went w/ Elka Triple /ZPS front and rear and ..WOW.... what a BIG difference !! I hear the newer works are good, but Im sold on my Elkas
