i think both bikes are very good. but i think honda made a big mistake by releasing the 250EX instead of something that can compete better with a raptor. i mean come on honda! its a shaft driven 230cc "sport" quad. its gonna get killed out there by everything. maybe i'm wrong on this but i think it was a mistake. any1 agree?

Instead of yamaha making a shootout with the 400ex which is a 240cc difference. Why won't yamaha put the Warrior against the 400ex. That's only a 50cc difference. Lets go to war there. Honda will build a bike to compete with the raptor in time, but till then lets keep the shootouts in the same class.

You people are idiots!! It doesnt matter if it has an extra 260cc's. If the driver on the Raptor doesnt downshift when needed the 400ex will eat it up. The warrior is 50cc's more than the 300ex does that mean that the warrior is gonna destroy te 300? NOt quite. Displacement is not everything but is ALOT, the rider is everything

rider isnt quite everything, we where on a trailride a while ago and one of the guys had a 400ex, so i decided to see how the trailblazer would hang on. well, it hung much better than it should have, but thats because the rider wasnt too good with the clutch yet. i was going into sharp corners with the throttle pinned, back end sideways, and i saw his taillight when we got into the twisty stuff. i had a whole bunch of blisters after that one, but it was a blast. by the way we switched machines and i got a couple mins. ahead of the other guy. rider is alot, but not everything.

Is everyone forgetting about the DS? I saw one for the first time last weekend. I talked to the guy riding it. He said that the motor was awesome but the quad was a little on the heavy side. Bombardier would show everybody a thing or 2 if they would shave a few pounds off the DS.

i actually drove a ds a few weeks ago, and i was very impressed. it didnt seem heavy at all, but i am used to a 440 lb. underpowered... anyway, it looked tall when you looked down, but i never noticed it on the trail. i got onto a long bridge and decided to test the power. i put it into 3rd gear while barely moving. when the guy ahead got more ahead, i goosed it. it took off fast, but i wasnt really impressed. just as i was wondering if it was the gear i was in the motor got spinging fast enugh and it almost shot out from under me!! my cousin kiled it on a road ant the tires squeeled for about 1/4 of a turn and it died. it has serious nuts. i actually started off just using the clutch, and no throttle.

To date in my garage is a 89 250R set for mx, 95 Banshee set for woods, 99 400ex in the process For Mx, And a Raptor Set up for a little of both. I like riding them all but the one I love is the raptor it has the best feeling over all. The 400 rides nice but you pork it and it struggles to get to the speed I want. and the only way to cure that is by moding the thing out like crazy. The banshee is super fast and it loves woods riding, but I had to put a lot of time and money to get it that way. the 250r need I say more. Out of the box those things where made for track. But over all the Raptor is the only one I have ridden with little to none mods that has it all, it screams in the woods and screams on the track. I killed a ds 650 in a drag. I am very impressed and can't wait to see what honda will do to match it. People are saying 650ex can't wait tto see that. I don't bash either brands honda or Yamaha. It is always a battle between the 2. first the 250r, banshee to match it, then the warrior 300ex to match it. then nothing to go with the banshee well here comes the 400ex, nothing to match it here rolls out the 660r. Now honda is goin to match that then yamaha to match that. See the pattern. so Quit the bitchin and just ride. no one likes a cry baby. If you lose go to the shop and add more, don't make excuses. Ride fast and play hard. End of communication over and out

Peace bitches
