Default Location and testing of CDI unit

I have a 1990 Fourtrax 300 that just quit running. I have tested the ignition switch, the engine stop switch and the power to the coil. I have no spark, the ground wire and pulse wire at the coil both show ground. Where is the CDI unit and the pulsar? I feel as if the problem is most likely in one of the two of them. The ATV was running just fine, now it has no spark. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

The cdi should be on the left side of the steering stem.Black rectangle shaped box.The pulsar or pickup coil is located behind the stator cover. You can test both by checking the resistance with an ohm meter. You will just unplug them from the wiring harness.Im not sure what wires are what on the EX tho.The clymer manuals usually give the wire colors and what ohm readinds you should have.

mine should be the same as yours. 1992 Honda TRX300 2WD.
Should one of the wires coming to the coil be hot when I crank the motor?

You should see some voltage at the coil when cranking the motor.
