is there any problems with the 450rs i should kno about before i buy one?

 

Nope!

 

You will find the need to ride,way higher then your boss will like. The 450r is a great quad. Mine is over ayear old and there hasn't been a single problem with it.

 

Hey Tractor, how is the cam working out? Give me a guess on what size jet main and pilot i need to be running here in Oklahoma with a k&n and no air box lid and a Sparks Exhaust system.

 

You need to get the starting procedure down. When cold, I use full choke. Usually will strart first kick, even if the bike has sat for weeks. The second it starts turn the choke off (otherwise the engine will race......not a good thing for a cold engine). Baby the throtle for a couple of minutes until it warms up.

When hot, do NOT even tough the throtle! Hold the hot start, and it will start first kick.

I met a young girl out on the trail who was trying to start a 450. She had no idea there was a hot start button. I told her to pull it, and it started first kick.

 

And, the rear shock tends to rebound to fast, even when set on full slow damping.

 

gear it down when you get it 1st is really tall

 

i have seen some that if raced hard the frame will crack,in gnnc races .but if you race it any quad frame should be gusset. over all good quad
