i finally got her running, however it sounds like there is a tick in the top end of the motor??? we just put a new wiseco piston and rings in it. i am puzzled. it does seem like there is a problem tho. can someone please advise.

umm, is the 250r a 2-stoke? I dont even know. I'm stupid...

if it's 4-stroke though, you might want to check your valve clearance. That will make a ticking sound if it's too much. Some ticking is normal though for valve lash.

i rebuilt my blaster and used wiseco parts. at idle it had a slight tick as well...it ran hard all day everyday with out a problem. i never was able to figure out what it was. did u replace the wristpin bearing?? and i would recomend checkin the compression if u have a guage. luckily my dad is a mechanic and i have every tool known to man!
