New choke installed but having more problems
I installed a new choke and plunger kit on my Rancher as the instructions on this site and everything went smoothly. I fired up the machine today and now the choke is always on. I can't switch it off. Anybody else had this problem?
I guess the plunger does not go down for some reason. Any help please!!

Thanks, I'll open it up tonight and check it out. I thought I cleaned it pretty good though. One question how does the end of the choke cable secure into the plunger. I just slid the little cylinder into the slot on the plunger. Are you supposed to crimp it or something?

I opened it up and the spring is there. It goes on the cable over the small cylinder that slots into the plunger - right? Is the plunger supposed to go into the carb hole freely? Mine was still sticking and had to use pliers to pull it out. Also couldn't push it into the carb hole with the pliers so does it mean I haven't cleaned it enough?
what's the best way to clean the hole so that the plunger slides in and out freely?

You ought to be able to slide that plunger smoothy up and down. It's got crude in it. Take some carb cleaner and spray out the inside of the shaft. I bought a thing of pipe cleaners to scrub it and followed it up with a long q-tip until it came out clean. If you do that it should take care of the prob. If you can't move that plunger with pliers, there's no way your choke cable is going to be able to do it.
