Wolverine 450 and Raptor 700 EFI!!!
See the new releases from Yamaha. Honda better have its act together with some new models!
The Wolverine is automatic (no way!) and weighs a very heavy 520 pounds. Looks like just a lightened (no racks) utility model. Maybe Yamaha dropped the ball on this one???

Yeah I think the new Wolvy looks useless, they should of at least put racks on it. BUT, I think it will help Yamaha just by getting a little more attention, even if they don't sell many. That 700EFI is going to sell like hot cakes, Honda and the rest better have something in they're wings.

Sorry bud, but it is a all new quad for the most part. New hybrid aluminum/steel frame and geometry. I would say the engine specs are quite a bit different WITH EFI! So it is a little more different than the old one!

you can see them on yamaha's website.
My best friend wanted a wolverine sooo bad, but he cant afford one right now. Now he'll have to buy a 2005 or older, we absolutely hate automatic transmissions in atv's, its just no fun. He wanted to get one to rival my rancher, now he'll have to buy a new 2005 by the end of the year, or settle for a used one. I think yamaha had a good thing going with the wolverine, but i think they went the wrong way with it.
as for the 700R, that's a step in the right direction, Honda needs to come out with a 600+cc sport quad with efi. True, the 700 is actually a 686, bored out from 660, (100mm X 84mm) vs. (102mm x 84mm) but it's efi, so no hassle with re-jetting when you add performance upgrades like air filters and exhaust, etc. The computer just compensates automatically.

686 carb'd Raptors have some serious power. Now it's a stock 686 with fuel injection, and it's wider. That new Raptor is gonna be awesome. The new Wolverine kinda sucks, but I will hold final judgement for when I ride one. The YFZ450 is actually a 450 instead of a 440.
Honda will probably have Bold New Graphics. I don't believe they have the testicular fortitude to step up with a new big bore sport quad and make improvements to most of the current lineup, which seriously needs it. I think Yamaha has made slight improvements to the YFZ and other quads each year it has been out and what has Honda done ... Bold New Graphics and different colored plastic, wow I am so not impressed. If Honda doesn't come out with something awesome this year I think they should just stop making atv's all together. Honda is no longer a leader in the atv world. All they seem to care about is their minivans.
