I like the Recon better.
It has a more stable ride.
Reverse is easier to use and doesnt require removing your hand from the handle bar.
It seems to have alittle more low end torque.
Thw wheels I believe are steel which makes them less likly to bend compared to the ones on the Beartracker. At least mine have survived impacts where the Bears have not.
Even though its a little smaller in size I feel more comfortable on it.
This is not to say that the Recon is perfect though. It does have its faults as all machines do. If you ask my son he would say that the Beartracker is better :-)
My advice would be test ride them both if you can and see which one just 'fits' you better. If you still can't decide get the one you can get the best deal on. They are both a blast to ride and I don't think that one is vastly superior to the other.
