For those of you saying the picture is fake, it is NOT fake. I did not photoshop this picture, and yes he should be wearing a helmet and we'll take another picture of him doing it again on his bike with gear on. I also have a video of him doing this , though you can not see it nearly as well. I'll post it later on, I have to go for now though.

You can call them either/or. Doug Gust's site call's them endo's I call them stoppie's
small point, but stoppies and endos haven't been the same thing, stoppie is a reverse wheelie, endo is when an stoppie or wheelie goes wrong (among other reasons, like flipping over on a hill) and your machine goes endover end over end over end.......

endos have been around for a long time, longer than stoppies. Back when I first started to ride nobody could do a stoppie at will like now. Brakes and tires weren't good enough, if you could even get the front brake to lock the tire up you'd just slide the front. No suspension meant no weight transfer. Nearly impossible.

The hat needs to be supported with a Camel, though. No Camel, or Marlboro, no safety.

to red400exrod. there is a shadow behind the front tire on the ground you idiot, just because you cant do it doesnt mean it is not possible. and quads dont make perfect shadows any way. there are too many open spaces to let light through let alone when most of the quad is a foot or better off the ground.

and propnut made a good point too. ive always tried to explain the endo to friends but they dont understand.

sonikburn does he ride on one wheel or stop??? bc every time i get it on one wheel the back kicks out to far to keep goin. i can ride on the back wheel for a few feet.

Actually I think you are. Ever notice on a cloudy day, meaning no direct sunlight, that small objects won’t cast shadows but it will be darker under larger objects. Take a flashlight and point it at the ceiling, then take your hand and starting from the bottom of the flash light move you hand closer to the ground. You should see something like the picture above.
