I am thinking about buying a web cam for my 300ex. I am looking at the all around cam so i dont have to change my valve springs. I would like to know how hard it is to get to my cam and how much power i will gain. thanks in advance

the all around cam will only give you a slight gain, your best bet would be a bigger cam, Web cam is the best i think, those people really know alot about cams and are very helpfull. If your going to change the cam you might as well change the valve springs, because you are already inside the engine, but dont forget you also need stronger rocker arms.

thanks, ive put alot of time and money in it, i have a web cam in my 300 but mine required stonger spings, rocker arms, shorter valve guides, and exstensive head work. I know you dont want to do all of that, but if you do you will have a whole new machine, it rips!!

Might want to consider a HONDA factory part. Get a cam from a 250x like the year before the 300ex started (1992?) I had a friend who did it and it made a big difference in his and there was no core charge. Similar idea to putting an xr400 cam in a 400ex. There are no mods, it just drops in. Hope it helps.

The best advice i can give ya is dont get a white brothers cam. Mine wore out the first month it was in and i had to redo the valves and rocker arms. Go wit a web cam, and have a reputable mechanic put it in. They know what theyre doin.
