does anyone know if 450R shocks will fit a 88 250R?

By the way. WHich one is the fastest? the 450 or the 250?

 

well i was hopping someone had already tried, but i have heard that they do fit. but the 450 is faster maybe a length or two in 200 ft.

 

A friend of mine bought 450R shocks off of ebay to put on a 250R. I believe the fronts fit but the rear shock has to be "massaged" to fit right.

Yeah. I think he had to do a small amount of grinding to get the shock into the upper mount...but you can have that problem with aftermarket shocks specifically made for the 250r too. I had to grind the top of my rear Ohlins shock to get it to fit. It was such a small amount that I could have done it with sand paper if I didn't have a grinder.

 

But if you do have to grind, grind the shock not the frame!

 

thanks, i bought the 450r rear shock off ebay the otherday but still hadnt heard from the guy i got it from, he's starting to **** me off by not responding. god hope i am not getting ripped off.

 

I had the same thing happen to me . the guy i bought my rear ohlins shock from on ebay waited about 5 days to respond. im sure your seller is just busy, he'll get back to you

 

god i hope so, by the way nice R. what kind of carb do u have??. the guy who does the work to mine told me i need to invest in a carb. it has a bog for some reason like its like it floods really easily we have adjusted and everything. i mean the plug is good tan. i mean if it could be fixed i believed he would have done it. i was just wondering what u might have i was think about one of ESR carbs.
