Default Loss of Power to Rincon

I find that my Rincon losses power when I get stuck in mud or on a stump. My riding buddy asked a backyard mechanic who owns a Rincon if he knew what was going on and he said tha the had the same problem and that he fixed it by shaving or remaching the torque converter. He said that this gave him more power. I'm not convinced that this will solve my problem because I'm not necessarily looking for more power, I'm looking not to lose power when my bike is in a bind. I feel like my problem is a Rincon problem and not specific to my bike so I'm interested in hearing if anyone else had the same problem and how they fixed it.

When you are "stuck", are you holding it in 1st gear with the ESP??? Perhaps it is upshfting on you when in automatic mode?
