100$ says most of the people say change your sprocket...so i think that would be the best/cheapest way to get the "torque" back

if you change your sprocket you will lose a lot of top end.

like 8mph probably.

I'd say sell the tires, or mod it.

with a pipe, cam, high comp piston it might turn them better.

If the tires are taller then just go down a tooth on the front sprocket. It will be good as new and it won't affect your top speed with the taller tires it will be just like it was before you messed with it.

Cheap trick' big gain in torque. If you are using a DG RCM header that has the long snout from the head that goes out about 6 in. then back. Cut 3 in. out of each side of the snout to shorten it. Then weld it back togather.

I had spidertracs on my 300ex and found them to have to much traction. I could not get the rear to break free and slide. I sold them and bought some bandits. I love 'em you can do anything you want with them, but they are a little heavy.

skull, when you say they are a little heavy. Are you losing any noticeable power in hill climbs and such? I am seriously considering bandits for this spring and I am looking for some good field testing results. What width are you running and are you running the 6 plys?

madmike,
no I did not notice any loss of power. Im using the 4 ply 20/10/9 size.
these are perfect for me and the kind of riding I do. but there is one place that we go riding about once a year that is pretty wide open, thats why Im going to get a 14 tooth sprocket before going next year. most of the trails we ride are tight, and the smaller size tires work great, get me lots of low end torque.
I never noticed they were heavy untill I got my paddle tires. my paddles feel like they are about 5lbs less each. there is lighter tires out there, but a lot are made for racing like the razrs or holeshots. those tires are great, but made of a softer compound so they will wear quicker.
