Motorhead,
I was just looking at your info on your Bronco. I was wondering a couple of things. First, what made you decide to put a half ton rear end in a truck that has so much power? You would have been much better off with a Dana 60 or 70. Or you could have gone with a Ford 10 1/4" full floater. Any of these are much stronger then a 9". 84 was the last year that Ford made the 9" rear end, so you must have gotten yours from an older rig? Second, what made you decide on the Auburn limited slip. Its one of the best limited slips you can buy, but a Detroit locker will perform far more effectively off road, and it doesn't cost any more. Do you have a traction dif in the front end also? I put Detroit lockers in both ends of my 89 F-250. That damn truck will go just about anywhere! Anyway, I was just wondering about your Bronco. I have as much fun wheel'in my truck as I do wheel'in my quad. Happy trails.

Even though the 9" is only a half ton axle, it's one of the strongest built axles for handling high-power applications. It doesn't have near the payload capacity of a 1-ton axle like the Dana60, but it'll handle horsepower no problem, and is much easier to work on and buy parts for. If you look at a lot of drag-racing cars, you see most of them with beefed up 9" rearends, because of their pinion and 3rd member strenght, and it's very easy to beef up the axle housing. Also, since I don't haul much payload with a Bronco (just a lot of towing), I figured I'd go with the 9".
I went with the Auburn posi because I didn't want to put up with the clunking rearend that I've heard you can get from installing a locker. I'd heard the Auburn is about the toughest posi you can get, which is what I wanted, since I've already grenaded two stock differentials, hehe. The Bronco spends MUCH more time on the pavement than off road, and the auburn performs extremely well, I'm very happy with it.
I've still got an open diff in the front end, mainly because I ran out of money when doing the gear swap. I plan to put a posi up there too, but that'll be a ways off, probably after I destroy the TTB front end and swap in a straigh-axle to replace it, haha.

The stereo is kinda a work-in-progress (isn't everything?), and it's not exactly 500watts, I just rounded off. For instance, my sub amp is rated at 120x2 (mono), but I've seen magazine articles that rated it at a solid 240x2, so numbers don't tell the whole story. I didn't buy it all at once, it's had numerous upgrades over the years. Right now here's all my components (all of which are Pioneer, I know, I'm a nut):
DEH-P9200 head unit (the OEL display rocks!) for $450
6.5" component mids and tweets in the doors for $120
6x9 3-ways in the rear 5x7 holes (custom bracket hehe) $100
2 15" subs in the back in custom box (made by me) for $110 each
GM-X702 70x2 running 2ohm powering the mids for $180
GM-X504 50x4 running 2-channel mono powering the 15s for $220
10 1/8th Farad caps (total 1.25F) on the GM-X504 for $50
So I guess that totals about $1340 if I did that right in my head. I'm really happy with the sound, it's crystal clear at high volume, very well balanced, kicks mucho a$$. Last time I went to a DB drag, I got 142db, and that was before I got the new deck. I'd guess that I could hit about 143 or 144db right now. And like I said, it's a clean, well balanced 144db. Definitely not the biggest baddest stereo around, but I'm really happy with it, and I don't think you could put together a better system for less money, that's what's so great about Pioneer.
