biggest weakness it not being able to get the swingarm bolt out. It seizes sometimes inside the engine case.

The 400EX is a great ATV... But it is NOT faster than a Z400...

Now if your 110 lbs and you race guys that are 300lbs, i could see you beating them.... Also if you are just talking about drag racing, ALOT of a drag race is shifting at the right time...

and you ment the downside to the 400ex is that its NOT water cooled right?

the ex is a solid reliable machine. and for all you guys ayin that the Z will whoop the ex the z has like 2-3 more hp than the ex. but since the Z and ex are both the same price new i would go ahead and get the Z. it is just a little bit better in all the right places.

Umm That's what we all said! We all said the EX is a great machine, but the Z is just a little better for the same price..

You can't say the Z400 is a better bike for the money. You roll that Z400, the radiator is gonna break and parts are gonna come flying off that thing. You roll a 400ex and it will still be running after its all over with maybe a bent handlebar. You have to consider the reliablity and duribility of the 400ex. That counts for way more than 3hps to me.

There are no real problems wit a 400ex, a z400 might be faster but the ex will outlast it. My friend rode mine all day without even using the clutch and it didnt even do any noticable damage. The gears still change fine. Also, the ex is better for trail riding, the z is not.
