C.D.I problem i guess?

on my 91 250x i can start it up rev and idel good but when i put it in first it just cuts out boggs down and dies. i no its not the carb that been done. for a fact i no its not. so any answers love'em

C.D.I problem i guess?

How would the cdi know you went into 1st?
Sounds like a carb issue to me.
Have you tried it with the choke on? It could be a big vacumn leak in the intake.
