What about the 700 Prairie?????????? I heard it has a lot of getting up and go more so than their BF 750.
Has anybody heard any good/bad things about them?

the rincon would be a great trail rider but is not anything else really. THe prairie 700 is a great choice also. Many people around here have them and they are really reliable and are and overall great quad. THere only problem is people not useing low gear when going slow or climbing etc. THat messes up the belt but as long as you use low gear, you wont have a problem.

The 700 Prairie is a great quad, but the BF 750 has more power all together so likely more get up and go, the Prairie doesn't have an independent rear suspension, some like IRS, some don't but you sacrafice ground clearance without it.

ATVtech,
Im not saying that I have NEVER ran the Rincon or the KQ hard on a trail,im saying that its just something I dont do very often anymore, especially since my darn wrists hurt me so bad from carpal tunnel about 6 months ago...I would agree that the Rincon is probably the better of the two mentioned ATVs if one was to ride real hard, but not SO much that it would sway me in the direction of buying the Rincon over the KQ..Now some other folks might not agree with me and thats fine too.

Fair enough Bill, good post.

By the way, I recently took a KQ for an extended ride. I like it, I like it a lot.

I like the KQ alot but I have to tell you that I am very disappointed in its 0-7mph lag on acceleration..I thought for SURE that someone would have a aftermarket fix for that, but so far,no fix..Other than that,I really enjoy the heck out of the KQ.

I went and looked at the Bomb 800 a few weeks ago and come home less than impressed with the way this twin clutching is snorkled..And besides, the price is OUTRAGOUS!

I'll keep the King Quad for another yr or so and maybe someone else will have something that might catch my eye?Besides, buying the newest big bore ATV out there is starting to get costly for me..Especially when you factor in that I only paid 6696 OTD with a 2500lb Warn winch for my KQ.

Maybe another Honda, Bill?

Just kidding Bill. I realize you won't buy another one until they add the same features as other OEM's, and I respect your opinion.

By the way, I also can't stand the lag on the KQ. You know what? I wish I could combine my Rincon's awesome low end punch with the KQ's mid-range and top end power...

I would'nt be hesitant to buy ANYBODYs brand ATV[even Honda] as long as it had the features I wanted on an ATV...

My neighbor Brian lives two doors down from me and he bought my Rincon from me when I bought the KQ last October, and even he is starting to discuss buying a new ATV..He loves the Rincon[its his first ATV]but now that he's been riding with the club for allmost a yr,he understands the Rincons limitations when compared to the other big bore ATVs he's seen on our club rides.AND he's simply disgussed with the never ending soaked front drum style brakes after an afternoon on the mud/water..

I just tell him that NO ATV has EVERYTHING you want..
