Well I have always ridden in the woods I am 27 this July and have ridden woods trails since I was 8 my dad used to time me and my bro runnin trails on our farm on a honda 70 three wheeler...BUT .....a 250 handles better in the woods on 4 wheeler size trails....you won't make turns on a 400 or a 450r that I'll slide through easily on a 250......and it is one of the best quads I've ridden climbing hills dodging trees...lol I'd say me and my bro 2 years younger ride pretty close to same skill level and he loses evrytime we run in the woods....so it's my opinion that 250 is tops in the woods. It also rides wicked wheelies bone stock....lol

Alright if the 250ex is so bad in the woods why do you not see any of the pros in gncc running them instead of 450s. Yeah a 250ex is a great trail quad that is true but it ain't a race quad by no means. Oh its easy to ride one in the woods like you say cause they are narrow and will fit in small places. But you try going as fast as the 450s around a gncc track. You will see that the 250ex just will not handle good enough.

Ok, I have no clue about your racing circuits....all I'm saying is a top end has little bearing in woods riding unless you are just wanting to total out a quad, and a track in a woods is not a "trail"....but maybe you didn't read that in my post not tryin' to be a wise *** just your trying to respond to something I wasn't addressing in my post. I know a 450R handles fine in turns it'll scrap a yfz they say in turning ability. My whole deal was the 250 Ex is a awesome ride on wood trails. -J
