I have a 2004 Rubi stock, and got 57 mph on black top. On a dirt road I can get 55 all most everytime.

 

60mph going across a frozen pond that had the snow packed down better then the trails in D1.

 

I think those lead balloons took some top speed ability away, but the diameter difference works out to be about 4 mph on the speedometer. So 53 is closer to 57+.

How does the Rubicon 'lean out' at 55?

I don't know about the 2004 and older Rubicon's but my 05 would run 60 before I changed the tires.
