I've been doing some reading on the Honda worldwide website and there is some in depth info on the Hondamatic. I've had to read it a couple times over for it to sink in and understand it all. All I can say is what a wicked little piece of engineering, and an amazing way to transfer power. No wonder Honda's seem to make strong torque from small engines. Mounting the engine transversely was a great idea but the Hondamatic has got to be the best power delivery set-up that could possibly be attained. The reliabilty of it also seems to be on par with everything else Honda makes. I just wish there was a quick simple explantion of how it works, so I can dumb it down for all the people that ask me and still don't understand or believe me when I try to explain.
