Sounds great for him. Unless he really wants reverse, then go with the z400.

I would never buy a NEW quad!!!!! Let some other sucker loose his but when it is time to trade or get rid of it.There are always good deals on quads that are 2-3 yrs old that people have made payments on and are tired of them and you can get them for payoff.Thats how I am getting this EX and that is how I got a 2003 330 Trailboss for $1000 that my wife loves. You just got to ask around and have access to cash.

You are right about the abuse part but if you look one over you can see the signs. Both of these that I ran into are from friends .And the EX I have done most of the maintanance on it.All it needs as of now is the bars straightend or changed. The 330 I got only had 30 hrs on it.Plus if you get one cheap enough you can repair most things reasonably.I bought my 500 off of Ebay and made a few calls to the guy that had it and the shop where he bought it.You got to do the footwork

im 15 and hav a trailblazer 400 and resently got a 04' 400ex and there is no comparison, the 400ex it is so light i can pick it up really easy there is really no need for reverse and if u need reverse the 05' comes with it. the 400ex has so much low end and is a bike u can put with but if u want to get up and go it will defenity go. i wasent use to shifting ether i liked the atomatic in some respecks* but this quad is so easy for anyone to use that shifting is no prob u can lug down real low in almost any gear if i were u i woul get one as quick as u can there great bikes!
