I'm really hoping for a 650ex or the like, but having never ridden Honda's xr650 dirt bike I'm wondering if a 650ex would keep up with the rappy 700? What do you guys think?

Ive heard about all that too....cant wait....only one more day. The next biggest decision will be to get either 06' 450r or z450

Haha, that is probably what will happen. There won't be a new 250R, can't say that I would buy one anyways. I think that they might make a fuel injected big bore utility, and small upgrades to the 450R. I would really love to see a big bore sport quad, but I don't see that happening. Guess we will all just find out tomorrow.

We all been wanting a honda big bore sport for a long time now. Maybe the XL or XR 650 motor just isn't feasable for a sport quad. Like someone else said maybe its a heavy motor and just too big to put in a decent size sport quad......................I don't know anything about the 650 motor, I'm just grasping at straws as to why we can't have a big bore from Honda.................

Either version of the 650 is feasable, it does not weigh any more than a Raptor or DS engine.

Is it really going to be that exciting of an engine though if they did do it? I don't think we need to get caught up in Honda just releasing a big-bore sport machine if it can't compete.

That leads me to my question again. If Honda did release the 650 in quad form do you guys think it would be as fast as the rappy 700? I'm sure it would be a fun reliable fast bike but would they need to do something more extememe to be able to compete? XR650warrior I guess I should be asking you. How does you bike do vs rappys 450's ect???
