I have a 2004 Honda Rancher AT 400 and the display that shows gear position blinks when I am riding down the road. Also sometimes the transmission will not change gears when this display is blinking. Is it a service problem or something major? Need some info. Thanks!!

I had a similiar problem with my 350 Rancher. Turned out to be the angle sensor. If the display is flashing 3 times, that is likely to be the culprit.

 

the 400 at doesnt have an angle sensor i dont think, since it's automatic

find a manual, that might tell you otherwise get an appt with a dealer
