I have always like the entire ITP Holeshot lineup. For an eastern trail rider, maybe the H-D's???

The H-Ds are heavy. I noticed a tiny bit of power loss at the exepence of practically flat proof, I think they were designed for 450's and up.

EXCELLENT traction in sand and mud, and hard packed, well very good traction everywhere.

I didn't like the H-D's for desert, and you are right, they are heavy. But, in any kind of wet conditions, I think the H-D's would be great. I run XC's and sometimes XCT's around here.
