I agree!!! I'm real curious as to how much improvement the changes will make to the power and the handling. It handled great before so if they improved it(hopefully the rear) it will be awesome. And the HRC kit is still an add on. Very anxious to see it in action........

Why didnt honda go with a DOCH i was under the impression you got more performance out of it over a SOHC, not starting any crap just a friendly question

Umm i think that the 05 is just as good. I dont like the headlights this year! the e start i can live w/o cause its so so simple to get it started with a kick. but the power, but i dont think that the engine mods r really gonna make a huge difference. If it was like 10 mph faster then it would matter, but its probly not gonna matter, u could still beat an 06 with an 05. Im happy with my new 450r

I think that just the compression being bumped up and the FCR will make a noticable difference, coupled with the new trans ratios could make a huge difference. JMO

i agree, the 06's should easily beat the 05's..just the compression ratio along should make a noticable difference, never mind the carb..

yep. 12:1 and a 40 FCR. Sounds like race gas might be in order with that compression.

I agree. The difference should be very noticable. Lets see...different porting, compression, fcr carb, air box and larger air filter, different exhaust, lower gearing.....these are all supposed to be performance improvements. This new 450r should be quite a bit stronger than the previous year model.
