By the yapping that goes on this forum. You have the ignorant.."Honda sucks! Stupid idiots are pissing away customers because they can't even compete.", the bitter "They dont have anything I want,thats for sure. " (at least five post of the same ranting..guess he thinks he's gonna change the sales charts). And those that acutally understand Honda. "Perhaps Honda doesn't want to enter another market because their management team understands the BIG picture. You have to at least consider that introducing more models most likely increases costs in all phases from marketing, production, parts inventory, technical knowledge, etc."

KNOWSALOT hit this one on the head. Most people understand their life doesn't revolve around a ATV. They know Honda's quality. They are the Tennessee farmer that checks his property, pulls a trailer and puts his Foreman up. Knowing it will start up and go through hell the next time he needs it. The other is the Texas Rancher that could careless about some EFI or whether there is a digital fuel gauge on the LCD. He just wants the thing to go through mud, snow, heat and back. And Not have to take it to the shop for little "emprovements" or Technological "advances on other brands.

Here is what KNOWSALOT put so well and what others need to understand;

As far as intorducing something to stay on top, they really don't have nothing to be worried about. The gap between Honda and Yamaha is about the same as it's been for the past 4 years. Polaris narrowly took Yamaha's spot a few years back temporarily, but it didn't get any gains on Honda.

Concerning the notion that people buy Honda simply because it is a Honda is absolutely true....but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I see posts everyday on here from folks talking about Honda not having this feature and not having this size engine and not having enough power. That is the majority of ENTHUSIASTS speaking. And very, very very few ATV buyers are enthusiasts compared to the overall number of buyers.

Everytime something new comes out, everyone is all jumping around yelling about how it's going to affect Honda sales. It's going to take a great LINEUP to surpass Honda. Not just a cool new model every couple of years.

Thanks for putting up with my long post.

We had a honda for 11 years. Not one prob. We traded it in not long ago for a rancher. So Honda dont suck. But thats your opinion and i dont care what people say to me goin down the road. I personaly dont like polaris because ive heard a lot of bad things about them. like the belts slipping off. would you want that to happen just cause you went in a few inches of water. By the way my hondas have never seen the shop. The last time they saw a shop is when they were put together. Yamaha and Honda are the only people i recomend

It is so simple it is stupid, why can't people understand that? Most people buy a truck or a car not because it goes 160 but because it will go 55 for years and years. Just like my truck it has been running for almost 2 decads with minimal problems, and that is not because it is a Chevy or Ford or what ever it is because it is a plain and simple truck.

Thing with Hondas they find something that works and stick with it, and it turns out what works is keeping it simple and reliable.

It is not that Honda is not concerned about it customers, it is quite the contrary, they are very concerned about their customers so the test and retest, do research to make sure it is going to work, not only when it is brand new but 5, 10, 15 years down the road when all the other models that have all the "features" are already traded in for the next "big thing" but that Honda is still going stong.

This is probably the reason Honda is always "behind" the competition because they want to make sure they get it right the first time so they don't have to come back and fix it later.

its nice to see people that arent complaining about what they dont have and what not...but actually look at it from hondas point of view...as for sales i see just as many hondas around as i ever have...on how many trails can you actually use 40 horsepower? or go 70 mph..

You know when Yamaha came out with the rappy 660 it had problems with the trans and they came out with the 700 and right off they had prblem with the fuel system. Honda never has this problem. When the 450r came out there were no recalls on it. I'm not saying yamaha is not good but Hondas don't suck.
