I ordered mine yesterday at my dealer. he wasnt sure when its going to come in yet but hes going to call me when it does. hey is also ordering me the hrc kit they have for 2006 models. I got the 450 for $6250.00 before tax. so i think i got a pretty good deal. i cant waight to see what this things got. i also got the kick start only model because i dont have a problem with staling when i race moto cross. and there is less that can break on it. its the red and black also. if this quad has the power that my CRF has then its going to rip because that bike is nasty.

I'm thinking it's not going to have the power of the CRF, cause I have a friend with one and you are correct: MEAN machine. However, it will have significantly more power than the 05' and older from the sounds of things. Main thing is that based on all the updates overall, I think it will be more of a match for the Yamaha now. The Suzuki......I don't know. Doesn't it come stock with the HRC cam and freer-flowing exhaust now though?

The '06 should be significantly quicker, not faster, than the '05. I say that mainly because of the switch to the CRF carb. I've heard that that carb on an '05 model wakes the R up alot. Not too mention they slightly changed the internals too. The 450R never really blew my skirt up, but I'd get one over a YFZ now.

I thought I was bad when I first hit the dirt bike scene. We had:
1999 YZ80
1999 YZ80
1999 YZ125
1999 WR400
1999 TTR-225
1999 TTR-125L
2000 Kawi 300. Don't even remember exactly what it was but it an enduro or dual sport of some sort.
Finally realized my girlfriend would never be able to ride a dirt bike due to the size of the bikes. Got her a 2000 Kodiak 4X4 and that was all she wrote. Once we played around on a quad, kissed all the dirt bikes goodbye.
I wish I still lived with mom and dad too. :-)
