My Rancher ES 2X4 has Tracker CL 25X11-10 rear tires and I want to get some vampires for it. Unfortunately I have no experience with tires so I was wondering which number I have to match to make the tires fit? What size should I get? Which number in the digits is the rim size? Thanks.

2000 Rancher ES and lovin' it!!!

do not get the vamps that end w/ the # 12 they are too wide I believe; also I don't believe the 26" will be too tall, and will not fit on a stock rancher. The vamps are also a very heavy tire and will sap more of your power than some of the other mud tires out there on the market; mud bugs, mud runners, 589's are all lighter than the vamps are should give you practically just as much performance in the mud while giving you a much better ride on hardpack. To explain tire sizes the first # is height, the second is the rim diameter, the third is the tire width. For example a 26-11x12 means the tire is 26" tall and 12" wide, and fits an 11" rim. **** And just to confuse the whole thing the stated specifications on the tire may be completely different than the actual tire. There are some web sites that will tell you the real specs also you can get them from the local tire dealers. My last bit of advise is to not buy any tire until you have talked to someone who has the exact tire on the exact same quad w/ the same mods.

Hey deadeye, I see your running 26" on the rear,?

the quad comes with 25's all round.. are you not having a problem with that being that it's full time 4wd?

how are the rears working.. I personally Hate the stock rear tires on my Rancher.. makes it look like a tractor

Brian, No problem w/ the rear due to the fact my rancher is a 4x2. I don't have to worry about the front diff. b/c I don't have one!! J/K The tires work great..I love em'

the stock rancher comes with 24"ers. it will handle 26"ers without a lift but 27" need a liftkit.

i like mudbugs better then the other tires. they seem to be a better trail tire than the other aggresive mud tires.....from what i read in these forums.

I am looking at 25" mud runners, they will fit on the factory rims! Bear Claws will also fit on the factory rims.

great tire!! It's the one I would have gotten if I would not have got such a great deal on my 26"'s. The thing I like about the 25" is the actual wieght; there very light in comparison to most all other mud tires which = less power loss. You can get the actual weights from goodyear's website if you haven't already.

.. tried to post to this topic earlier today, but guess my post got lost in the browser no-man's land ... anyhow ..

My 4x2 came stock with ATT 24's on the front and 25's on the rear, so the question is if I change to a better mud tire on the rear, is it necessary to change out the front tires too?

Other than looks, is there any benefit?

Thanks.

I did not see any sense in putting a new set of tires on the front. They only thing they would improve would be the looks and the steering both of which the stock tires do well enough.

at least let me tell you what I did on a Rancher 2x4. First I used a pair of triclaw 27x12x12. They fit just right and the quad kept up with the other 4x4's right up to the point where they got stuck too. So I bought a pair of outlaw 26x12x12 tires and rims for 345.00 from Highlifter. They are so awesome. The 350 rancher turns them just fine because all of the power on a 2x4 goes to the rear. Trust me on this one and there are others on the forum that have seen it work. It turns a Rancher 2x4 into a mud machine big time.
