Fortunately for 400EX riders, even a modded ATC185 stands little chance of outrunning a 400EX anywhere. Unfortunately for Raptor owners, the same is not the case with the 400EX vs the Raptor.

Point noted Gary, but you don't see 400EX owners bragging that they beat ATC185's. I do believe you will see many Raptor owners talking crap about 400EX's though...

Rembembr that the 185 engiene is very close to the current XR200R top end and most Performance parts will fit! But dont open up the engine, Do what I did to my old ATC125M back in highschool. Buy a NOS kit for $99 and wire it to the electric start button- instant banshee killer on the dunes! The engine lasted alot longer than I thought as I was useing Amsoil and a full boost of NOS. Nothing gets peoples attention faster than a POS ATC125 breaking them loose sideways on dry pavement

 

JRM....I like your mentality. Do you still have the NOS set-up? Is it for sale? I rode a 250R with nitrous years ago and it was very impressive + very dangerous.

 

I once saw a 200x engine with 26hp, and that was with pump gas. turn up the timing and put some VP c12 in it it should rip. I personally think since this guy has a raptor he is just trying to **** off 400EX guys, and to be politicolly correct, and girls, 'cause my mom has a 2000 400EX

 

No, after I wasted the wrist pin berring on the 125M I took the kit off and sold it for exactly what I paid ($99) and then re-built the ATC and sold it for more than I paid ( $600 ) You may find a kit from XR's only or Write bros found in dirtbike magazine ad section. Its super fun, I could only imagen what a Raptor or CR500 Would do on the bottle.

 

Sure Gary 660R, you could mod a 185 to beat a 400ex. Heck, I modded my four year daughters electric Barbie jeep and she beats 185s all day
