My brother got something in the mail saying that they are recalling the 00' 400ex because of the front brakes. Did anybody else hear about this. Later

 

Take it to the dealer, they'll check the brake fluid for machine oil contamination.

 

The recall that I recieved was for the brake shoes/disk in the rear along with in the front. The dealer will look at this too.

 

Ive heard of some dumb *** recalls but this one takes the cake.I got my recall notice today but I dont even have my 400ex anymore.It said somthing to the fact that the brake shoes where mounted only on one side of the roter.What was that guy smoking that day at the honda plant??I really dont understand how the pistons in the calapers wont blow out without the brake bads in there.Got me,im stumped.

 

more puzzling than the crack smoking assemblers are the unlucky people who drove thier 400ex without realizing that something was very very wrong.
