300 4x4 has clicking noise in front left
#1
As mentioned in another post, I picked up a used 1996 Honda 300 4x4 for my dad to ride with me.
After riding it a bit, we noticed that is has a clicking noise in the right front, especially during a tight turn. Upon jacking it up and spinning the tire by hand, it seems that the clicking noise is coming from the CV or universal joint. I called a Honda dealership and they claim that it is not replaceable and that you have to buy the complete right hand shaft at a price of $165!
Is there another alternative to buing the complete assembly? Thanks in advance!
