Default 05' rancher at, hard to start!

my 05 rancher is hard to start if it has not been started in a couple of days, most of the time i have to use the choke, i had a honda before and the only time i had to use the choke is when it was really cold outside. has anybody else with a rancher had this problem?

Yes, the Rancher can be hard to start and choke is usually required, especially if the bike hasn't been started in a couple of days. This is normal for a Rancher and there should be nothing at all to worry about.

yea, even if your bike doesn't need choke i still like using it, it warms up faster, but no need to worry just start it with choke go inside take a p1ss come back out shut the choke off and your ready to go

My rancher did it also when it was new( 200 miles ). you are just breaking it in good by then. I have 1500 on it now and it starts like a charm, even cold.

the new machines are "lean burn" and they can be cold blooded, my '05 350 can be a hassle sometimes, my '04 350 was the same way. I would just follow the procedure for starting in the owners manual, if it starts, then it's fine. If you still have problems, see what the dealer says.

I have to use the choke on my 05 Rancher...depending on outside temp. Even if it sits for over a week in warm weather...I have had to use the choke.
