Default Power question...

Hey all. Quick question here. Was just wondering if anybody had an approximate horsepower estimate for a bone stock 1986 trx250r? Bought one last week and just picked it up tonight and my buddy at work has been razzing me all last week about how he's gonna blow my doors off with his slightly modified 2000 400ex. Should I get ready for a whoopin or what?

If it running right it will be close but I think you'll beat him. Then if you freshen up the motor and do some mods he'll have no chance.

If your a decent rider, the bike is in good running condition and the terrain is right you should have no problem takin him out.

to ansser your question about 35 to 40hp. I don't think you will have a problem. Just last week I got a 450r stuck in my carb.
