oh no smoke

probably bad valve seals. the oil runs down the intake valve guide onto the face of the intake valve, and the incoming air/fuel picks up the oil and burns it, eventually all the excess will burn off. Its not that hard to fix on some bikes, but some can be nightmares.

what kind of smoke?? blue or black. white isnt in the question because white smoke= water or coolant. 300ex is air cooled. blue smoke=oil, black=fuel. if its blue, you've probably got valve stem seal issues. if its black, its running way fat until it warms up. (fat=rich). thats not a big problem. my 300 run rich in cold weather when the bikes not at operating temp.

sorry, didnt see where you said it was white. the only way you have water in your cylinder is for it to have come from outside the casing. have you had the atv deep in water?? have you sprayed water into your exhaust?? drain the oil and wee if the oil is milky, it'll look like coffee with alot of cream if its got water in it

thats true, im going to bet the smoke is oil smoke. he should pull and read the plug to see if its oilly. i really dont see how water could get in the combustion chamber, or atleast enough to where it looked like it was burning coolant.
